Falklands40 is the official publication of the South Atlantic Medal Association (SAMA82) – the Falklands Veterans’ association – and will be launched in June 2022 to mark the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands Conflict.

A salute to bravery and courage, Falklands40 will pay tribute to the many members of the British Armed Forces, as well as their civilian colleagues, particularly in the merchant marine, who together planned and executed the liberation of the Falkland Islands – whilst also serving as a legacy narrative of abiding remembrance for 255 souls who never made it home.

Introduced by leading members of the UK Government, the Government of the Falkland Islands and British Armed Forces’ leaders, the publication will feature a comprehensive timeline of events from Argentinian invasion to British liberation of the Islands.


TheVeteran.UK appointed exclusive media partner for BFRS

TheVeteran.UK and British Forces Re-Settlement Services (BFRS) are delighted to announce that TheVeteran.UK Media Services (TVUK) has been appointed BFRS’s exclusive media partner to help drive promotion and marketing of BFRS’s re-settlement services to transitioning and existing veterans.

BFRS, a community interest company established over a decade ago, organises a series of career events annually, providing transitioning personnel and Veterans with the opportunity to meet directly with employers from all aspects of public and private sector industry and commerce. It also provides training and all other relevant services, particularly for those new to civilian life, seeking, in particular, mortgage, personal financial and other advice and guidance – and its online Jobs and Training Boards act as a 24/7 platform for employers and trainers to engage with the Forces Community.

TheVeteran.UK Publishing Platform to produce Officers’ Association’s Royal Centenary publication

TheVeteran.UK is delighted to announce that its Publishing Platform has been contracted by the Officers’ Association (OA) to produce its commemorative publication marking the Centenary of the OA’s Royal Charter.

Introduced by the Officers’ Association’s Chief Executive Lee Holloway, the publication will feature a proposed series of high-profile forewords by, amongst others, the Rt Hon Ben Wallace MP PC, Secretary of State for Defence, and the UK’s Service Chiefs.

In addition to commemorating the OA’s Royal Charter, the publication will also act as a valuable stakeholder engagement asset for the tri-service officers’ employment charity at a time of major current and post-Covid challenges and opportunities for working-age Veterans.
